Jay, a talented and passionate dancer from Hartsville, SC, discovered his love for dance at the age of 13, drawing inspiration from his older brother and iconic music videos. By 15, he refined his skills at Brenda Cranford School of Dance, competing in Hip-Hop and Jazz. His dedication to the art continued throughout college, where he became a proud member of Delta Phi Delta Dance Fraternity, Inc.
Welcome to Jay’s World of Movement & Empowerment
Jay’s professional journey led him to perform as a background dancer for Just Fine – The Mary J. Blige Tribute Band at Seven Springs Farm and Vineyard in Norlina, NC, further cementing his passion for performance and artistry.
Jay’s connection with Pink Cherry Pole & Dance Studio was instant—from the moment he walked through the doors, he felt an undeniable sense of belonging. Inspired by classes with Khalil and Clarissa, he knew this was the perfect space to grow as a dancer. When he learned about an opportunity to join the instructor team, he seized the moment, fulfilling a lifelong dream of teaching dance.
Since becoming an instructor at "The Pink," Jay has found not only a dance studio but a family—a community that challenges and elevates him. His mission is to push the boundaries of Hip-Hop Fusion, incorporating diverse styles while continuing to expand his expertise in pole dance, with aspirations of leading pole classes in the future.
Jay is excited to share his passion, inspire students, and evolve as an artist, all while creating an empowering and welcoming environment for every dancer who steps into his class.
